Position: Middle Years Teacher

Location: Skownan School

Start Date: September 7, 2021

FTE: 1.00 FTE

Term of Employment: Term to June 30, 2022

Skownan School is a Nursery to Grade 9 facility of approximately 98 students, 10 teaching staff and 17

support staff located in Skownan, approximately one and a half hours northeast of Dauphin.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education Degree
• Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
• A sound knowledge of Manitoba Middle Years curricula
• Previous Middle Years teaching experience
• A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology
• Knowledge of literacy and numeracy programming
• Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum
• Strong classroom management skills
• Experience working with students with unique needs
• A commitment to differentiated instruction
• A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices
• A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn
• Self-motivated
