Job Description
Hillview Motel is located at 1533 Hwy. 16 E., Vanderhoof, BC V0J 3A0. We are currently looking for a permanent, full time Motel Manager. If you are interested, please submit your resume by mail or e-mail.
Position: Motel Manager
Wages: CAD$29.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hrs/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
Plan, manage, and evaluate overall motel’s daily operations
Create, implement and update policies and procedures
Maintain and monitor records of budgets, revenues, funds, and expenses.
Perform financial activities including setting budget and room rates, and assigning funds to departments.
Create and apply a marketing strategy to promote the motel
Build relationship and negotiate with vendors on provisions of materials and suppliers
Communicate with clients (customers) when appropriate (welcome them in the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)
Recruit, hire and oversee training
Oversee all staff and set work schedules and shifts to ensure productivity
Ensure compliance with health and safety rules.
Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations
Job Requirements:
Completion of secondary school
2-3 years of experience in the accommodation industry
Language at work: English
