Description
The Halton Hamilton Brantford (H.H.B.) Housing and Support Services are seeking individuals interested in casual/relief positions. There are no standard weekly hours of work and no guaranteed hours. Work will be offered on an as needed basis. Successful candidates must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 prior to starting employment. We will provide reasonable accommodation if successful candidates cannot be vaccinated due to grounds protected by human rights legislation in Ontario.

Flexibility in scheduling is required. Work schedules are determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break. The operational hours of our facilities are 24/7.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-Secondary Education preferred and/or a combination of education and related life experience.
- Possess current WHMIS, First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and effective interpersonal skills.
- Competent on computer equipment such as Windows, Microsoft Office, HIFIS etc.
- Ability to work with socially disadvantaged people who may often harbor resentment and anger.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and under supervision.
- Ability to lift/carry up to forty pounds.
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
