National Rental Director

We are the Canadian leader in telescopic forklifts and are experiencing a significant national expansion. Reporting to the VP of operations, the National Rental Director will be responsible for a team of 3 agents, a coordinator and 6 yard attendants. He will actively be involved in operations and will follow up directly with key clients. Overall, he will ensure good rental rates, optimize the availability, and use of the equipment, while ensuring efficient operation of fleet costs.

Main responsibilities:
Justify our rental rates and our market shares;

Capture, compile and analyze quantifiable gains as well as lost rentals (duration, rates and causes);

Optimize the availability of the equipment;

Support partner rental centers by giving them tools and advice;

Control costs (mechanical maintenance, transport, etc.);

Develop a procedure allowing the service department to understand the expectations regarding the maintenance of the units (mechanical and aesthetic);

Propose various fleet performance indicators (KPI);

Ensure organized and rigorous satisfaction monitoring through his department;

Develop a performance evaluation process for his employees;

Build and apply procedures, processes, and systems to guide the representatives, agents, and the service department.

Experience & desired skills:
Minimum 5 years of management experience;

College studies diploma or baccalaureate in administration or equivalent;

Ease in handling numbers (CMA is an important asset);

Perfectly bilingual orally and in writing;

Experience in a multi-branch environment;

Experience with an ERP system and KPI;

Ease in creating procedures and making them accessible;

Structured, sense of priorities, and focused on continuous improvement;

Knowledge of general mechanics is an asset;

Available to travel (this mandate requires him to travel approximately 8 days / month).
