The Executive Council Office is the centre of excellence for the Government of Yukon. We are leaders in the modernization of government standards and processes. The opportunity…

The Water Board Secretariat, a branch within Executive Council Office provides professional, technical, and administrative support necessary for the proper conduct of the business of the Yukon Water Board. The Secretariat supports the Board, which is an independent administrative tribunal, in making informed licensing decisions, which provide for the conservation, development, and utilization of waters in a manner that provides for optimum benefit for all Canadians and for the residents of Yukon in particular.

The Office Manager reports to the Water Board Secretariat Director and is responsible for direct supervision of the Administrative unit. Working collaboratively as part of the Secretariat Management Team, the Office Manager is responsible for ensuring an efficient work flow and consistent service standards.

The Office Manager develops, implements and manages all administrative and financial programs, services and policies to facilitate the activities of the Secretariat and the Board, and supports the Secretariat’s Director, Technical Advisor and the Licensing unit. Additionally, the position is responsible for organizing and managing administrative, financial and executive support to the Board.

Extensive experience leading a team, developing and training employees;

Experience managing administrative processes and procedures to ensure quality control and efficiency;

Recent financial management, cash balancing/handling and procurement experience; and

Demonstrated experience in both short and long term project or operations management.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
