JOB TEXT:
Term position for Positive Action for Student Success (PASS) Teacher. Duties to commence September 7, 2021.
You are committed to furthering the District goals for student success in an inclusive, safe and caring environment. You subscribe to a “students first” philosophy in your practice and believe that collaboration is key for your growth as an educator.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong knowledge of the intermediate curriculum while providing escalating levels of intervention through direct instructional supports such as course recovery and course rescue.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Successful teaching practice with engaging students in the areas of academic and social-emotional learning
Successful experience with leveraging technology
A student centered approach
Positive relationship skills with all stakeholders
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
A high degree of motivation to engage students and support learning
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Education – Secondary Methods
