Utilities Kingston is unique in Ontario, combining water, wastewater, gas, electrical services, and a broadband fiber optics provider in one company under the leadership of a single President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Utilities Kingston is seeking a President and CEO who will provide hands-on leadership, direction, and general management to all areas of the organization, and will support in the execution of the strategic plan. Working in closely with the City of Kingston, the President and CEO will ensure that Utilities Kingston continues to provide safe and reliable utilities to its customers. Together with the senior leadership team, the President and CEO will have overall responsibility of strengthening the position of Utilities Kingston as an industry leader, enhancing financial performance, ensuring high customer satisfaction, and embracing new opportunities. The President and CEO will balance the need to successfully operate a profitable enterprise acting in the interest of the City, the residents, developers and business owners. The President and CEO will work with representatives of the City of Kingston to facilitate economic growth in the area.
As an ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of 10 years of senior management experience within a complex organization, ideally within the utilities sector and/or regulated and competitive markets. A natural communicator and relationship builder, you have a successful track record of partnering and engaging with a broad group of stakeholders. Inclusive, diplomatic, and open in nature, you are known to thrive in a customer service environment, with strong community ties. You have unquestionable integrity, initiative, resilience, and the ability to inspire, engage, and motivate a team and culture of transparency and action. An agile organizational leader who thrives on harnessing the power of multiple stakeholders, your strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellence allows you to be comfortable overseeing a unique business delivering a diverse complement of utility services.
