All of our classes are small, and we have a team of talented and experienced educational assistants who work alongside our teachers in the classroom. With a strong, supportive leadership team and a dedicated Learning Resource Department, we work hard to set both our students and staff up for success.

We are seeking an educator who can differentiate instruction for diverse students and who can inspire them to overcome challenges. We want a teacher who values the education of the whole child as much as academic success.
What would the job entail?
This is an opportunity for a newly-qualified educator to work with our primary coordinator to create and implement a primary program that caters specifically to bright and curious learners. You will work as a team to build a program that teaches foundational literacy and numeracy skills whilst using play-based inquiry to engage students in authentic real-world projects.
You will also:
Promote and support the mission, vision and values of the school;
Design, prepare and deliver inquiry-based units and lessons;
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs;
Report on students’ strengths and areas for growth;
Communicate regularly with parents about student learning and goals;
Participate in department meetings, staff meetings and professional development workshops;
Work collaboratively with the school-based team to create and update IEPs;
Nurture students’ academic, social and emotional growth;
Use and integrate technology to support teaching and learning;
Participate in leading/coaching extra-curricular clubs and activities after school (2 out of 3 terms).
What you have to have:
Bachelor of Education, primary years focus;
Valid BC Teaching Certificate;
You understand and can implement best practices in early literacy and numeracy instruction;
You can implement assessment for, as and of learning.
What we would love:
Ability to teach visual arts, drama, and/or music, and/or;
Ability to teach a second language;
A sense of humour and a curious nature.
