Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent of the position of Production Director will be responsible for planning, directing, optimizing and controlling all production and continuous improvement activities involving a team of approximately 120 people, in order to achieve the company’s objectives.
Responsibilities of the position
- Coordinate production operations and ensure maximum use of resources
- Supervise and support employees
- Plan production based on forecasts and operational capacities
- Participate in the evolution of the ERP system
- Identify, manage and coordinate the implementation of the lean manufacturing principle and the integration of continuous improvement tools.
- Ensure that there are no product breakdowns (BO)
- Define and monitor objectives and priorities
- Carry out the analyses necessary to monitor performance indicators (KPIs)
- Work to optimize the manufacturing processes by respecting our quality standards.
- Participate in training management, selection processes and the application of disciplinary measures
- Ensures that health and safety regulations are enforced and effective
- Performs all other related duties.
Desired profile
- Minimum of eight (8) years experience in manufacturing operations management
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
- Knowledge of the food industry and HACCP and GFSI certifications
- Experience in continuous improvement: 5S, process optimization, Kaizen, VSM
- Excellent results-oriented leadership
- Good management skills (organizational and planning skills, priority management, measurement and monitoring)
- Be quality and customer focused
- Ability to manage automated production lines as well as artisanal cells
