RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Work with the Director, Library and Academic Services and other functional areas in the college to develop an awareness of academic integrity (AI) and promote a culture of AI to faculty, staff and students.
Lead a collaborative effort in developing, promoting and implementing policies and procedures related to AI.
Lead an institutional review of all related processes relating to AI, including academic appeals.
Work closely with the Centre for Teaching & Learning, Library, Student Services, International and Partnerships, Information Technology Services and academic departments to develop an integrated approach to AI.
Act as a college resource for information on current and emerging resources for information, education and training for students, staff and faculty, including promote learning about AI and ethical standards of behaviour.
Act as a resource to faculty, staff and students by providing guidance and explaining the Academic Integrity policy, procedure and College evidence-informed practices
Liaise with other college and university academic integrity staff and external academic integrity communities of practice to build knowledge and share information.
Provide oversight of the Academic Integrity website and resources.
Develop and deliver workshops and online learning opportunities applying appropriate educational technologies and instructional pedagogy.
Prepare and deliver presentations to the college community on Academic Integrity related matters.
Explore the use of technology in data collection and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicants will have:
A Master’s degree in education or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in academic integrity
Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Experience in training and assisting faculty and staff; skilled at helping professionals learn
Experience creating and providing advice on authentic assessments in the context of post-secondary education
Experience with the design and development of blended and fully online programs and courses
Familiar with quality improvement strategies relevant to post-secondary education
Strong planning, time-management, project management, writing, and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills and the ability to demonstrate his or her experience as an effective leader and team member.
High degree of initiative; ability to think analytically to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Knowledge of conflict resolution strategies and practices
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of students, employees and the community demands and changing priorities
