Junior Achievement BC is growing! We have three full-time opportunities and one maternity leave in the Columbia Basin. 

JABC’s program delivery model is flexible and provides opportunity for customization based on learner and community needs. This includes accommodations for a broader age range of student participants, different learning styles, outside-the-classroom deliveries, remote location deliveries, variety of volunteers, greater community engagement, as well as unique historical, cultural and economic contexts, and considerations. 

Success in this role will be evaluated by: 

  • Number of JA program deliveries achieved 
  • Number of volunteers trained and engaged 
  • Educator and volunteer satisfaction and retention 

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Coordinate schedules and deliver volunteer training 
  • Coordinate delivery of programs to ensure quarterly and annual program delivery goals are met 
  • Match and coordinate volunteers to programs for delivery, and provide ongoing support 
  • Coordinate and distribute printed and digital program materials and resources for program deliveries, including maintaining required inventories 
  • Steward educators and volunteers, including regular and post-program follow up 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date constituent and program data records 
  • Promote JA awards and scholarships and support students in their applications 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCIES 

  • Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated or related work experience within the education system or a related organization. Experience with instructional design including the creation of learning experiences and materials is considered an asset 
  • Experience delivering training programs to adult learners 
  • Ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team 
  • Aptitude to ensure information is communicated to those who need to be kept informed  
  • Ability to take responsibility for own performance by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly 
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support  
  • Aptitude to demonstrate concern for satisfying external and/or internal stakeholders 
  • Possess strong organizational and planning skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse people across an organization   
  • Service-minded attitude with an interest and willingness to help others 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications and experience using Raiser’s Edge/Salesforce or similar 
  • Passion for youth education and development
