About Us
Office of Equity and Anti-Racism Initiatives (OEA) is a new department in government with the mandate to provide oversight to and enhance efforts related to equity and anti-racism throughout government.

About Our Opportunity
The Project Director will provide management expertise and will lead the planning and implementation of complex equity initiatives and projects related to the OEA’s priorities. They will ensure the contributions and voice of equity and community partners are included. The work involved will require management and coordination of effort between departments, offices and various communities.
The Project Director designs, manages, and implements significant projects for a department and/or group of departments that has multiple cross-departmental implications. They rely on expert knowledge to create “new and improved” solutions to changing needs.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
Primary Accountabilities
As the Project Director, you will manage the delivery of a major part of the department’s project management program for complex equity initiatives and projects.
You will initiate, formulate and implement new business practices within project management discipline and act as a change management sponsor by leading and presenting project status updates, developing change management strategies and stakeholder communication/engagement planning as well as being the spokesperson and change champion.
You will deliver expert research, analysis, consultation, and advice on project issues,
Making significant improvement on short-term or long-term business performance by recommending authoritative technical and/or professional solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
As our project Director, you will have a Bachelors’ Degree in a related discipline, involving project management, policy etc. and several years of progressive, senior-level management experience.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
In this role you also have demonstrated knowledge of leading large-scale change in a complex stakeholder environment you can lead change, move forward new initiatives, and overcome ongoing systemic challenges.
You will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to establish productive relationships with senior representatives of non-governmental and governmental organizations (both internally and externally) valuing a diverse and inclusive environment.
You are proficient using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), and have excellent research capabilities and strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy while balancing priorities.
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Salary Range: $3,705.20 – $4,642.15 Bi-Weekly
