Project Manager

Job Description:
PURPOSE OF POSITION

As a member of the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO), you will lead and coordinate projects and provide project management expertise across FRSA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing multi-disciplinary project teams through all phases of projects including identifying project objectives in consultation with clients; developing project charters; defining goals, deliverables and scope; defining project resource requirements and devising project documents to monitor and support projects.

Planning and leading concurrent research and analysis projects to introduce best practices, tools, prototypes performance measures and re-engineering initiatives to support existing and anticipated business needs.

Identifying and analyzing major trends, technological advances, issues and opportunities in the public and private sectors with regards to FSRA’s specialized services.

Providing business expertise, consultative advice and guidance to senior management and colleagues on a full range of specialized business management activities and systems including business processes and practices, information technology, policy development and re-engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized Knowledge and Experience

Proven knowledge of theory and practice of business methods, including performance measurement, benchmarking and re-engineering to provide expertise and lead major business management and analytical projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and methodologies to manage and coordinate projects.

Formal training/accreditation from a Project Management Organization, such as PMI or AXELOS, is considered an asset

Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodologies and techniques to lead research projects and to develop various models, tools and prototypes.

Skills

Proven consultation, collaboration and influencing skills to lead project teams, obtain understanding of business processes, and recommend solutions.

Proven oral and written communication skills to market and communicate initiatives, products and services and to prepare reports, presentations and recommendations.

Analytical skills to assess and develop business analysis tools, methods and practices and ensure business processes and related techniques and tools comply with and are aligned with FSRA standards.
