Reporting to the Service Improvement Manager, we are looking for a skilled project management professional that can deliver business improvement projects. Collaborating across business units and departments, the project manager utilizes various project management techniques to:

Drive and facilitate project planning using sequential and iterative methods and best practices (e.g. business cases, charters, work breakdown, detailed workplans and schedules, and risk management).

Identify and manage interdependencies with other projects and initiatives.

Guide, coach and motivate the team to be highly effective, self-organized, productive and accountable, with an emphasis on achieving commitments.

Facilitate communication channels for teams and associated business and technical stakeholders to ensure the vision, goals, progress and product delivery commitments are visible and well understood.

Identify and actively work to remove impediments and blockers preventing teams from delivering goals.

Mentor, facilitate and refine practices and principles within the project teams.

Manage expectations with project team members and project stakeholders.

Monitor progress throughout the life of initiatives and monitor and manage project and report on scope, schedule, and deliverables relative to plan.

Prepare presentations and communications to show progress in meeting business objectives.

Prepare project management deliverables according to business practices and corporate project management principles.

Qualifications

A degree in Commerce or another relevant degree and a minimum of 5 years related work experience as a project manager; OR

A completed 2 year diploma in Business or another relevant diploma and a minimum of 7 years related work experience as a project manager.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset.

Success in this position requires you to demonstrate strong facilitation, prioritization, planning and organizing skills in order to meet challenging deadlines.

You will have excellent communication skills to prepare and present to a variety of audiences; well-developed consulting, consensus building and facilitation skills, business analysis/project management expertise.

Proven significant experience managing multiple highly complex and large-scale projects, which span multiple functions and business groups, and have dependencies with multiple inter-related projects

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a flexible approach and an ability to lead concurrent teams with multiple stakeholders, including Directors.

Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $42.06 – 56.23 per hour

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day

work week with one day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
