The Projects Portfolio Director has the overall portfolio of projects supervision and is responsible for their portfolio P&L.

They coordinate the Project Managers resources allocations within the projects with the VP projects, monitors and controls of the Projects and reports the overall performance.

They are monitoring all projects execution in their portfolio, monitoring and controlling until contract closure, supporting the Project managers with a particular focus on:

They possess the ability to share vision and demonstrate direction from a leadership perspective, thus fostering a single path for the projects team in their portfolio. Furthermore, they show strength with compassion creating an environment where the project team is motivated and focused on the objectives.

They display strong communications skills ensuring clarity with senior management, key customers and the projects teams of their portfolio.

Key Accountabilities:
Managing performance, costs, schedule, quality and risks & opportunities mitigation actions

Controlling product development dependencies

Implementing with the support of Operations (PMO) a solid and comprehensive EAC process, sales and cash forecasts and risks & opportunities management

Implementation of Group processes, methods, tools and practices to deliver projects tailored where required to URS business

Monitoring the performance of the different activities of the directorate using relevant indicators with the support of Operation (PMO)

Managing interface with key customers, ensuring customer satisfaction for their portfolio.

Is accountable for the end-to-end performance, when Country of Destination is involved, even as the prime contractor

Ensures lessons learned and drive Projects execution towards continuous improvement. This covers in particular direct contributions to Transformation plans and execution of post mortem Projects lessons learnt

Managing URS Projects Management resources in their portfolio, ensuring their optimum competence, development, satisfaction, supporting the CBU footprints and SBP business goals

Ensuring the development and training of Project skills and expertise to ensure that the required level is achieved and sustained

Key Requirements:
Degree or Diploma from either a Business or Technical background

10+ years in railway transportation industry or from Technical/Aerospace field

15+ years as a Project Manager with People Management / Leadership experience

Experience with P&L and/or Bid Management

Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment

Excellent communication skills

Being able to deliver under pressure
