Hourly Rate and Wage Grade: $19.29 – $21.14 Per Hour, TFT003, Wage Grade 2

Shift Information: Monday-Friday, 7 Hours Per Day, 35 Hours Per Week

Major Responsibilities

Assists with assembling and compiling information/survey packages/lab reports

Assists with gathering information from businesses, the public, or other key partners and responds to program-related inquiries

Documents findings. Inputs/retrieves/updates/maintains data

Assists with organizing and presenting data collected

Assists with compiling and consolidation of data for others to analyze/process including the creation of charts and tables

Assists others with drafting documents, bulletins etc. and data analysis

Assists in maintaining data/statistics

Assists with various office functions

Answers calls, provides general information, takes messages and directs inquiries to appropriate staff to answer questions/handle requests

Key Qualifications

Post-secondary education in statistics/biostatistics/applied science/life science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in conducting qualitative/quantitative research and analysis to provide stakeholder consultations.

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and any statistical analysis software.

Data management skills.

Ability to work independently, with tight timelines, and with an interdisciplinary team.

Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

Knowledge and experience working with infectious disease surveillance databases (e.g., CCM, iPHIS) would be an asset.

Progression or completion of a Master’s program in Public Health, would be an asset.
