Sales Director, Crisis24 (Northern Europe)

Primary Role

Managing a team of Sales Reps and Account Managers, the Sales Director – Northern Europe will lead the companies’ business development efforts across the region; fundamentally this will mean driving ambitious growth of both new customer acquisition and existing client accounts both personally and through their team based in the UK. The Sales Director shall instil a sales culture within the business focused on delivery of targets through customer retention, high win rates, new customer acquisition and pipeline growth. The Sales Director will actively train and develop their team, ensuring peak performance across the business development function for the organisation. Working with corporate clients and partners, inclusive of insurers and medical assistance providers selling technology and security-based services, the Sales Director will be familiar with SaaS and service-based sales and have a proven track record in new business development and relationship management. The Sales Director role forms part of the Northern Europe executive management team, providing key input and working alongside all business aspects including marketing, product development and ongoing customer success.

Responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the sales plan
  • Ability to assist and input in global sales strategy in conjunction with other global sales hubs
  • Ownership and delivery of individual and team sales targets through new customer acquisition and existing customer growth
  • Assist in the development of sales tools and processes to support the achievement of sales objectives
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities assisting others in achieving overall company gross profit objectives
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients with final approval reserved for Executive Management
  • Assist in the development of pricing schemes and product/service development
  • Stay abreast of the company growth strategy and technological/product development
  • Be proactive collecting Field Product requirements and communicate to Product Management
  • Ensure the sales team have effective sales material and collateral available; including input into design and messaging
  • Work closely with marketing to maintain and improve lead generation, conversion and win rates
  • Coach and mentor sales team
  • Actively monitor, report upon and improve pipeline, win rate and deal cycle across the team
  • Ensure maximum retention and satisfaction amongst existing clients through an effective account management structure and process
  • Ownership and oversight on all bids within the assigned territories including proposal writing, presentation, relationship building, demonstrations, closing and contracting
  • Manage relationships as required, with key partners and clients; including maximising potential of relationship with medical partners
  • Attend industry events and conferences to maximise networking opportunities, serve as an external face for the company

Required Skills and Experience

The Sales Director will have the following:

  • Background in travel risk management or security services is highly desired
  • Background in senior sales positions in BtoB within the service industry
  • Proven experience of managing new business sales processes and achieving targets
  • Proven experience of running an effective account management process delivering high retention (95%+) and account growth
  • Previous experience of managing and writing bids, responding to RFPs and leading sales presentations
  • Previous experience of helping design and improve sales collateral and sales messaging
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills in a B2B environment
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

Reporting and Place of Work

This role will report directly to the Managing Director, Northern Europe and can be based in Bournemouth or in London.Occasional international travel is anticipated.
