DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager – Health Education Technology & Learning, the successful applicant will exercise independent judgement for responsible clerical and supervisory work. Duties include performing a variety of responsible clerical functions in the processing of requests for room and equipment scheduling; maintaining an electronic inventory of bookable rooms and equipment as part of scheduling software; maintaining an inventory of classroom furnishings and equipment, and general meeting room furnishings; arranging cleaning schedules and inspecting work; tracking any loss of or damage to furnishings or equipment; generating stats on room usage; scheduling delivery and setup of audio-visual equipment, such as mobile and fixed computer multimedia systems, media carts, audio mixers and amplifiers, microphones, video cameras and other audiovisual equipment as required; providing backup support for entering support requests in HSIMS job tracking software and backup for exam marking system; moderate WebEx academic undergraduate sessions; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Considerable experience (3-5 years) in general clerical work, including some supervisory experience; graduation from high school supplemented by courses in business education; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain statistical records and prepare reports from such records; the ability to establish and maintain good relations with faculty, students, staff, and the general public; and have strong communication and organizational skills. Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and other standard office software is required. Knowledge of WebEx conference software, as well as a limited knowledge of MacOS, would be considered assets.
SALARY $34,952 – $49,008 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
