Senior Director, Agency and Partner Development

1. Develop and lead the execution of a partner-led strategy for growth for media agencies at a regional and national level in the Canadian market.

2. Build and govern strategic partnership plans with senior agency leadership.

3. Develop and drive a comprehensive engagement strategy for media sales executives across all major agency groups.

4. Develop commercial models to create incremental opportunities for growth across managed service and programmatic product offerings.

5. Build and develop a high performing agency development and partner development team.

6. Manage a team of Strategic Partner Directors focused on growing our partnerships with key strategic advertisers.

7. Work closely with Walmart’s Customer Marketing team on delivering on Walmart Connects annual plans and targets for key strategic advertisers.

8. Identify opportunities for agency collaboration around large-scale new innovative creative solutions.

9. Partner with Walmart Connect teams globally to identify innovative opportunities for agency partnerships offered by Walmart’s growing suite of advertising products.

10. Build profile for Walmart Connect in the Canadian market.

Qualifications

12+ years of B2B sales experience

Experience managing teams who deliver on defined goals and timelines

Experience managing teams

Strong digital advertising experience

Business development experience working with media agencies

Knowledge of the programmatic landscape

Proven track record of delivering results and driving aggressive revenue growth

Ability to successfully engage and negotiate at C-Level within agencies and agency groups

Strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data

Preferred Qualifications

10 years of experience in media sales, marketing, or business development

Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone and in person

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through

Position Summary…

Walmart Connect is expanding and we are looking for a senior leader with experience working in the media agency space in Canada to join our leadership team. To accelerate the next phase of Walmart Connects’ growth and development, we are working to transform the depth, scale, and ambition of our partnerships with major media agencies. We are building a dedicated agency development practice to deliver our unique and unmatched omni channel retail media offering in Canada. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior business development leader to lead and build the team at an early stage to shape and drive WMC’s strategic agency partnerships.
