As a key member of the SRE Leadership team, the Senior Director of SRE will ensure that our tech platforms and infrastructure are built with the best industry practices and are able to scale with the exponential growth of our customer base. They will lead and grow, a talented engineering team consisting of multi-disciplined Software Developers and will be a champion of continuous improvement, driving velocity, innovation and scale. In addition to our internal team, the Senior Director will also be accountable for managing our outsourced development onshore and offshore teams, as well as collaborating with various internal Enterprise IT teams. This role reports into the Senior Director, Site Reliability Engineering and Architecture.

What You’ll Do:
Ensure consistent and timely delivery of new features in our agile environment which maintains our high-quality standards that scale to our growing business

Demonstrate your inclusive leadership skills by developing, recruiting and retaining top engineering talent through mentorship, collaboration and empathy

Collaborate with multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex customer facing solutions while ensuring project status and issues are communicated to necessary executives and stakeholders

Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management and balance the business needs versus technical constraints

Work with the product management team to continuously improve our product development methodologies by leveraging innovative technologies and industry best practices

What you Bring:
Seasoned experience as a Director or Senior Director leading high performing teams in a large volume, complex, customer facing eCommerce environment

Working experience in the Engineering and Computer Science space with an excellent understanding of Cloud Native, Web, Mobile and Continuous Delivery technologies, especially as they relate to eCommerce/Retail/Enterprise

Understanding of the Agile and Scrum methodologies and potential experience working in these methodologies.

Hands on technologist who can dive deep and hold their own with senior developers building a scalable product along with experience in influencing others with a sense of urgency, accountability and ownership
