SGS – 20/21 – 071 – Educational Assistant 4 (EA4)(2 Positions)

St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting two (2) Part Time, Probationary, Educational Assistant 4 for work assignments at Sir George Simpson Junior High School.

More than 8500 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 27.5 hrs. /week; 5.5 hrs./day; Monday-Friday; Part Time, Probationary

(2 Positions)

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:
Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred

Candidate must have strong skills in numeracy and mathematics in a junior high classroom setting

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training an asset

Experience using assistive technology an asset

Preferred candidates would have experience working with junior high students

Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset

Experience working with students with various diverse learning and behavioural needs an asset

Candidates will have experience working with students with Autism

Experience implementing positive behavior support plan strategies required
