What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Wellbeing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Direct and lead the day-to-day Spa and Recreation operation ensuring all standards are followed
Promote and sell customized Spa / Recreation and Wellbeing programs to conference groups, weddings and individuals in addition to wellness retreat programs and hotel packages
Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors; including location, product offering, pricing, promotion and sales techniques
Responsible for all spa purchasing, inventories, keeping track of product shelf life and monitoring products consumptions
Work closely with suppliers to update products, trainings and sales incentives
Ensure team members are familiar with all areas of the Spa and Recreation operation, including product knowledge and retail sales
Assist in the recruitment, development and training of all wellbeing colleagues
Develop, implement and measure short and long range goals and objectives
Attend all scheduled hotel meetings
Conduct departmental meetings and one-on-ones
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Other duties as assigned
Your experience and skills include:
Previous leadership experience within the Spa field required
University/College degree in a related discipline is an asset
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
Experience in the luxury hotel industry is an asset
Experience and certification in one of the Spa disciplines of therapy required (Aesthetics Or Massage certification)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
