Duties to commence September 2021 and end August 2023 (Two-Year Term).

Duties:
The Special Education Coach is the direct learning support for the daily operation of the Board’s Special

Education services at designated schools. They will work collaboratively with the school Principal, Special

Education Consultant, classroom and school teams to promote and provide leadership for the Special Education

Service Delivery Model.

Requirements:
Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.

Models research-based instructional practices.

Minimum 3 Years of experience as a Special Education Resource Teacher in a school setting

(preferred).

Qualification in 3 divisions (an asset).

Demonstrated commitment and use of Global Competencies learning practices.

Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with students, staff and public.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education.

The Special Education Coach will receive an allowance of $1500 which includes a stipend for travel. If the

individual is required to travel between both schools on the same day or travel elsewhere as required by

the Board, they will receive mileage as per Board Policy.
