Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
Job Duties
1. Respond to Saskatchewan Polytechnic-wide requests for recruitment related information and assistance with an emphasis on campus-specific programs, services and activities through extensive phone and email interactions.
2. Coordinate and host campus-specific recruitment events and experiences for potential students, parents, counselors and agencies.
3. Develop and maintain network of contacts both internal (program heads, faculty, Deans, registrations, counselling, etc.) and external (high school counsellors, community agencies, CanSask, etc.) to Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
4. Create and manage content on myChoice web pages using a content management system.
5. Maintain database records within myChoice to utilize and manipulate data.
6. Develop and maintain a communication stream for prospective students, high school counselors and other relevant contacts, including imported records from Banner.
7. Serve as a system administrator for myChoice and train program personnel in the use of necessary modules.
8. Proof documents and publications for accuracy.
9. Provide supervision and training for recruitment department volunteers, summer students and casual staff.
10. As a member of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Student Recruitment Team, assist with external recruitment opportunities (Career fairs, presentations, information sessions, etc.) Some travel involving overnight stays may occasionally be required.
11. Lifting may be required (boxes of calendars, program summaries, display, etc.)
12. Manage all of the associated tasks required of a campus recruitment office.
Specific Accountabilities

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Completed Grade 12 or equivalent and a Saskatchewan Polytechnic graduate of a diploma program or an equivalent combination or recent and relevant education, training and experience.
2. One year of experience working in an office environment.
3. General knowledge of Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs and admission processes along with an awareness of adult education systems.
4. Familiarity with the agencies and organizations in Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s education/training community.
5. Intermediate level knowledge and experience with databases and presentation packages.
6. Excellent presentation skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and activities.
9. Ability to travel and possess a Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving abstract.
10. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
