The Ministry of Education provides leadership and direction to the early years, Prekindergarten through Grade 12 education, family literacy and library services. The ministry supports the sector through funding, governance and accountability, with a focus on improving student achievement.

The Student and Educator Services Unit of the Ministry of Education is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our team as a Student and Educator Services Support Desk clerk. This unit is responsible for administering the provincial legislation, regulations and policies with respect to Student and Educator Services in the Prekindergarten to Grade 12 school system.

The successful candidate will maintain and support student information in the Student Data System (SDS) and MySchoolSask/MonÉcoleSask student information system; identify errors and support XML error resolution with electronic file transfers; extract and analyze sector data imports for readiness and error resolution; provide help desk support to transcript clients, schools and school divisions; and respond to inquiries by phone and/or email regarding ministry policies and processes.

The ideal candidate is expected to:
have excellent verbal and and written communication skills;

have experience with a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, support desk software/ticketing systems and databases; and

have knowledge of office and administration procedures and protocols.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary certificate or diploma (business administration, computer science) from an accredited educational institution, combined with direct experience with databases, Microsoft Office and XML.

French/English bilingualism is considered an asset.
