The Ministry of Education provides leadership and direction to the early years, Pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 education, family literacy and library services. The ministry supports the sector through funding, governance and accountability, with a focus on improving student achievement.

The Student and Educator Services Unit of the Ministry of Education is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join our team as a Student and Educator Services Support Desk clerk. This unit is responsible for administering the provincial legislation, regulations and policies with respect to Student and Educator Services in the Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school system.

The successful candidate will maintain and support student information in the Student Data System (SDS) and MySchoolSask/MonÉcoleSask student information system; identify errors and support XML error resolution with electronic file transfers; extract and analyze sector data imports for readiness and error resolution; provide help desk support to transcript clients, schools and school divisions; and respond to inquiries by phone and/or email regarding ministry policies and processes.

The ideal candidate is expected to:
have excellent verbal, listening and written skills;

have experience with and knowledge of a variety of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, support desk software/ticketing systems and relational databases; and

have knowledge of office and administration procedures and protocols.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary certificate or diploma (business administration, computer science) from an accredited educational institution, combined with direct experience with databases, Microsoft Office and XML.

French/English bilingualism is considered an asset.
