Teacher – 1 FTE
Job Description:
- Responsible for teaching a multi-grade classroom
- Create a safe, positive, and productive environment favorable to learning and personal growth
- Establish effective rapport with students
- Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation of education
- Create engaging and appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Evaluation, assessment, and documentation of student and staff progress
- Establish good relationships with parents and other staff members
- Motivate and work collaboratively within a senior leadership team, while reporting to the Head of Schools, to create a visionary strategic plan aimed at expanding facilities and opportunities for families seeking education rooted in Christian tradition and values
- Have key advisor role in the academic leadership and administrative management of the school
- Liaise with parents through Parent Advisory Council (PAC), support marketing and fundraising initiatives
Qualifications
- A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligible for
- Dynamic, highly capable leader who can inspire, promote, coach, and mentor colleagues toward continuous growth, excellence, and achievement
- Exceptional organizational capacity and communication skills
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and innovative
- Must be able to collaborate and team-teach with colleagues
- Strong work ethics and professionalism
- Commitment to continuous learning and growth
- A strong understanding of the Alberta Program of Studies
- Agree with our Statement of Faith
- Valid First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Alberta Drivers license (or willingness to obtain)
