This position provides service to customers, sorts incoming products, and assists the manager in the maintenance of all store operations.
This is a casual position with variable hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to meeting store sales budgets by maintaining customer service standard
- Implements store layout plans to attract customers including window displays and merchandise displays; ensure attractiveness of the store through “Tidy Maintenance”
- Replenishes inventory levels based on Manager’s directions
- Contributes to the control of inventory by retrieving, sorting, and pricing as per Manager’s directions; protects the store from inventory shrinkage by close visual monitoring
- Takes responsibility for the accurate completion of all customer transactions including visa, debit and cash transactions
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous experience would be an asset
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- The performance of the job requires continuously standing for long periods of time. Frequent twisting, bending, crouching, reaching, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling, lifting (up to 40lbs), kneeling and entering data for transactions.
- The performance of the job requires visual monitoring and frequently working with numbers
