Town Clerk/Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall operation of Council’s activities; providing leadership in planning, organizing, controlling the efficient and effective operation of the Town, including the financial operation of the Town; supervising and directing Council’s employees; promoting economic development, marketing and promoting potential opportunities within the Town; complying with the Municipalities Act and Regulations.

Requirements:

– Proven ability: to work independently; to motivate employees; to do project management; to work with and maintain a good working relations with employees and the public

-Knowledge: of the applicable legislation, regulations, codes for Councils; of budgeting, monitoring and reporting; work practices and operations of Councils

-Driver’s licence, bondable, code of conduct, available to work after hours and weekends

-Graduation from university with degree in business, public administration or engineering with at least 3 years experience in Municipal Administration or a combination of extensive experience and training in Municipal Administration
