Undergrad Research Assistant

Faculty/Department VP Research Unit SPHERU Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

The position will be located in the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU).

Duties will include:
a) assistance in drafting governance documents for the unit;

b) assistance in drafting reports from research activities undertaken at the unit; and,

c) literature reviews and syntheses relating to health and health-care research and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Tom McIntosh, Co-Director of the unit.

Position Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have a background in political science and/or economics with an interest in public policy and population health issues as they relate to SPHERU’s ongoing research.
  • A background in organizational governance would be an asset.
  • The applicant should have very strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to find, collate and synthesize bodies of literature and other material. The ability to write in a clear, concise and academically sound manner is essential

Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range $18.57 Status Term Work Hours

30 hours / week
