We operate hospitals, health centres and community-based programs across the province. Our team of health professionals includes employees, doctors, researchers, learners and volunteers that provide the health care or services you may need. This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities

The Utility worker serves meals to patients, family and guests, delivers meals and supplies to work areas and assists in the assembly and portioning of food items. Additionally, they are responsible for cleaning equipment, dishes and utensils, as well as ensuring overall cleanliness of their work and are responsible for the re-therm of the tray meal service.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate in their application/resume that they meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12/GED required
  • Ability to work as part of a team to provide services and achieve departmental and/or organizational goals
  • Ability to perform duties within expected timeframes and standards of accuracy
  • Ability to communicate effectively while demonstrating civility and respect
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Please Note: Frequent physical demands include extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling and pushing, and transferring/transporting equipment.

Hours of Work

  • Permanent, part-time 50% position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly

Salary Information

$17.0904 – $17.8025 hourly
