Compensation $69,000- $75,000 depending on education/experience. Atira provides a generous and comprehensive benefits package and matching defined contribution pension plan.

About the Job:
Reporting to the Director, Operational Analytics, The Manager, Early Years and Learning Programs is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Atira’s Early Year and Learning programs; including financial planning and tracking, program development, stakeholder relations; leading staff teams to maintain overall quality of programs and striving for the continuous development and improvement of services. The Manager is responsible for ensuring they and the Supervisors they supervise/support hire qualified staff in accordance with Atira’s hiring policies and values and in accordance with licensing requirements, and for identifying staff training needs, recommending employee actions, and communicating with employees on the progress of Society plans. The Manager ensures safety in the workplace. All work must be done in a manner consistent with Atira’s mission, vision, values and philosophy, and in accordance with all legal, contractual, statutory, licensing and other requirements.
About You
You have an inclusive/intersectional feminist analysis of violence against women and powerful alignment with Atira’s mission, vision, values and philosophy. You approach your work and live your life from a decolonizing, women centered and social justice perspective. You thrive on a passion for standards and the promotion of best practices in Early Years and Learning programs. You are a team player who strives for excellence but loves to have a good laugh, is able to think fast, be critical, and make sound decisions without agonizing, all while working in an incredibly dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your aspiration is to love what you do and to be excellent at it.
You have a university degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field for example Education and or Not-for-Profit Management. You have an ECE Diploma and are a registered member of the Early Childhood Educators of B.C. You have demonstrated childcare center management/supervisory experience; minimum of five years’ experience in teaching and management as a principal or administrator in a childcare or recreational setting. You have solid knowledge of the Child Care Licensing Regulations (CCLR) and Ministry of Health legislation and policy and solid knowledge of the Ministry of Children and Family Development policy and programs.
