Reporting to the Wildfire Operations Officer, this key position is responsible for providing leadership to the Warehouse Services Section ensuring the highest standards of warehousing are provided to the Forestry Division and, specifically the Wildfire Management Branch. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for areas such as fire logistics support, staff supervision, planning, training, inventory management, equipment management and allocation, and related administrative/financial components. Additionally, as part of the leadership team, you will provide oversight to the Provincial Warehouse Service Centre and respective Provincial Wildfire Management programs as well as other Government staff and Partner Agencies and GOA Contractors in the area who may utilize the warehouse and yard. More specifically, duties will include:
- Supervising and overseeing warehouse assistant and stock keeper staff including; all warehousing activities to ensure that there is an adequate supply of materials, supplies and equipment to support wildfire management activities in the Province,
- Manage Inventory through the Inventory Management Information System (IMIS) including; collaboration with the Purchasing Section and participation in the development of Inventory Management systems
- Coordinating of the movement of equipment and consumable items
- Oversight of Receiving and Shipping activities
- Assisting the Forest Area Fleet Manager with the proper branding and monitoring and maintenance of the Area fleet
- Participating on provincial task teams dealing with items like inventory management systems and protocols, and
- Maintaining and organizing the warehouse yard and associated infrastructure and remote facilities inventory.
- Active member in committees related to fire line and warehouse network within the Division

Qualifications
A High School diploma plus a minimum of three years of related warehouse experience is required. ICS training, experience or qualifications or Wildfire Incident Support Logistic experience (i.e.. Supply Unit Leader, Ordering and Receiving Distribution Manager) is preferred. Supervisory experience in a warehouse environment will be considered an asset, as well as training in IMIS or a similar Inventory Management System. Equivalencies will be considered.

Salary
$2,200.89 – $2,712.02 bi-weekly
($57,443 – $70,783 annually)
Notes
This position requires a 40 hour work week. The successful candidate must be available to be on shifts for standby to be called back to work throughout the wildfire season. You must also be capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
Applicants must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s license, either unrestricted or GDL, and a suitable driving history with no more than 8 demerits (4 demerits for a GDL). The successful candidate may be asked to provide a 5 year Commercial Driver’s Abstract.
Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower salary and level.
