POSITION: Learner Support / Elementary Prep Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE Temporary
DURATION: September 1 to December 17, 2021
or return of incumbent not to exceed June 30, 2022
Qualifications Required:
education degree plus an inclusive education certificate (or equivalent 5 courses) including a university course in level B assessments, theory and practice;
recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;
ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans;
ability to adapt curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;
ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;
knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
