Open House: Poverty isn’t always easy to see
This is a temporary, part-time position based upon up to 24 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required. The work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break. The operational hours of this facility are 12:00 am – 12:00 pm.
The length of the contract, duties and responsibilities are in accordance with the Provincial Governments Emergency Order 0.Reg. 146/20”.
Current Shifts will vary from: Monday to Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts Rapid Antigen Testing.
- Follows Policies and Procedures regarding Infection Control, including Rapid Antigen Testing Procedures.
- Documents Testing as Required.
- Improves personal knowledge through attendance at in-service education, off site and online education as available and works towards upgrading own skill and knowledge.
- Responsible for record keeping of Swabbing.
- Responsible for following Swabbing scheduling.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Allied Healthcare Professional under the following classifications PSW / RPN/ RN / Physiotherapist / Healthcare Aide. Certification must be provided.
- Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and signs and symptoms of COVID 19.
- Ability to work in high paced environment wearing required PPE to conduct point of care Rapid Antigen Testing.
- Must successfully demonstrate correct swab collection technique.
- Successful candidate will require a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.
- TB test is required.
- Previous Rapid Antigen Testing experience an asset, but not required
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (mask, glove, etc) as required
- An annual influenza vaccination is recommended
- Regular COVID-19 testing required
- Required to work even if home is in an outbreak with required Personal Protective Equipment
