Affordability is a key component of B.C.’s Child Care Plan to implement a universal early care and learning system for children and families. Within the Child Care Division, the Child Care Benefit and Operating Funding Branch is responsible for delivering approximately 500 million dollars through two of the ministry’s provincial-level child care programs and services: the Affordable Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Operating Funding Program.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, plus 4 years of *related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Related experience must include 4 years of any combination of the following:

Experience, leading and mentoring large teams within a unionized environment (5 or more).

Experience supervising and mentoring subordinate supervisors.

Experience analyzing information, developing key performance indicators, and making data informed decisions.

Experience working within tight time constraints in an environment where priorities can change rapidly.

Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policy or regulations.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
Experience leading in a service delivery or program delivery environment.

Experience leading teams of 30 or more.

Experience working for the Public Service or a equivalent environment.
