Specific responsibilities include:
P roviding new and existing staff including company drivers and owner operators with the structure for day-to-day management and ensuring education, information, tools, training and support required to perform duties and carry out programs is provided.
Involving day to day management, promotion and initiation of operational programs, such as “PDRP, Fleet Manager incentive” and other programs determined by the VP, Eastern Operations.
Researching, compiling, developing and generating reports in all areas of responsibilities as required internally and for regulatory reporting purposes. This involves collecting data, analyzing data, identifying current and future issues and providing solutions.
Due to the interdependent nature of departments and programs, the Manager provides support, response and involvement in issues that affect Operations, including drivers and owner operators, by ensuring open lines of communication are maintained with other departments and sharing of information is encouraged.
Ensuring the Mississauga Operations Team is operating at optimal efficiency in all aspects of generating and executing the day to day business. This is accomplished by monitoring, understanding and influencing service levels – late shipments reporting, client specific levels of service monitoring, situational involvement and leadership, systems analysis and development. Balance/Volume Analysis- short and medium term balance issues
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
3-5 years in a similar leadership role managing day-to-day operations. Transportation industry would be considered an asset.
