Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for an Assistant Director of Rooms who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. This person directs and controls the activities of the Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Guest Services Teams. They act as the senior manager in these departments when department head is unavailable. They responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Sound problem solving ability and proficiency in Hotel property management systems are required. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English is also required. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any task! This position requires standing for the majority of the shift. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile and a positive attitude!

Essential Functions:
Manages the Department Heads within the Rooms Division. Ensures thorough communications and follow-up on any problems, guest or employee request or special requirements, and hotel initiatives

Reviews and monitors schedules of staff in all departments in the Rooms Division.

Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

Assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, and directions.

Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available.

Acts as the senior manager in the Rooms Division in forecasting and budgeting of revenues and expenses for all departments in the Rooms Division.

Preferred qualifications & skills

At least 2 years previous managerial experience in a similar role within in a fast paced luxury hotel operation

Strong command of the English language and additional language(s) a definite asset for career growth

Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field

Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
