Description
This position will assist the staff team at Kate’s Kitchen with the day-to-day operations of services and programs. This position is a front-line worker involving both physical labor and interpersonal connections with clients, volunteers, and staff.
Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the preparation and serving of daily meals
- Assist with the sorting of donations (food, clothing, )
- Assist with the picking up of donations
- Assist with preparing and providing food or other hampers for clients
- Maintain food preparation and service safety standards
- Maintain COVID 19 safety protocols
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:
- A post-secondary certificate or diploma is considered an asset
- Food Safe certification
- WHIMS Certification
Experience:
- 6 months to 2 years experience in food service positions
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
- Strong ability to be organized and multitask in a busy environment
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent
- A clear vulnerable sector screening
- Clean drivers abstract
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training
