Responsibilities
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students and colleagues.
Specific areas of instruction may include basic Keyboarding, Microsoft Excel and File Management. These continuing education courses will be taught in the evening, during the 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM time frame, one or two evenings a week. There will be 2 contracts (86 hours/contract), which will be offered during the June 2021 to March 2022 timeframe. The instructional and prep time would be up to a maximum of 10 hours per week. Hours could be flexible.
Qualifications
Required qualifications for this opportunity include a diploma or degree in business, and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience. Applicants must have a strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
Experience working in an Institutional setting
Microsoft training and /or certification
Experience teaching adult learners.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
