ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Vice President, Student and Community Engagement, the Director, Future Students & Community Engagement is responsible for advancing and overseeing the strategic goals and priorities related to student recruitment, program marketing and brand development, and enrollment planning. The Director also leads the College’s Community Engagement Strategy.

The Director is a member of the Vice President Students & Community Engagement team and participates in scheduled meetings and committee activities to further the goals of the division and the institution. The Director is responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external groups, including instructional and non-instructional faculties, staff and administrative departments, Deans and Directors, other institutions, provincial committees, external agencies, and professional associations.

The Director supports and enhances the efforts of the Vice President Students & Community Engagement in fostering a team approach within the department and is responsible for operational, budgetary and personnel matters affecting the department. The Director is committed to serving the NIC communities and optimizing enrollment through outreach, planning and engagement.

This is a challenging and dynamic opportunity for engaged and proactive leader with established professional credibility, as evidenced by a graduate degree in related area of study and management experience in a post-secondary setting. The successful candidate will have five to seven years of leadership and management experience in the post-secondary sector including significant management experience working in corporate marketing and promotion is required. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire innovation and build collaboration. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
