Job Summary

The Director of Concessions is responsible for maintaining and displaying Compass standard steps of service and showcase quality regarding concessions. Executing a unique point of difference while providing friendly and efficient service to guests and teammates.

Now, if you were to come on board as our Director of Concessions, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

Understands all menus, product offerings, packaging, and pricing

Ensures all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise

Executes all security, safety, and sanitation standards

Provides operational planning to ensure appropriate teaming levels are met, as well as adequate products ordered to service each concession event

Follows and executes preventative maintenance schedule as set forth by Director of Operations

Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits, and Compass associates

Acts as a liaison with team, including partner’s operational team, Compass team and other areas as needed to ensure efficient operational performance

Executes all menus, promotions and programs as outlined by the Director of Operations/Department Head in accordance with Compass standards

Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Compass systems (Purchasing Systems, Point-of-sale, Timekeeping systems and more)

Achieves daily sales, assigned cost goals and budget goals

Follows and enforces responsible alcohol service policies

Reviews opening and closing inventories for accuracy and executes required daily reporting in a timely manner and ensures required department reports are completed and information is compiled at month end closing

Provides labor forecasting for each concession event within desired target

Ensures all overages and shortages are investigated, documented, and logged, reviewing all instances with the Director of Operations

Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance to team and to ensure lines of communication are open between management and associates

Interviews, hires, trains, and develops associates according to Compass guidelines

Able to communicate effectively with management team, associates, and guests

Excellent reading, writing, math, and computer skills required

Ability to evaluate food and beverage product offerings

Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates

Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts

Must obtain ProServe Certification (if needed, if not delete)

Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift
