team of skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a Director of Operations to join our growing

team from our downtown Halifax location.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate is an exemplary leader of people, and is an innovative

and strategic thinker who takes ownership and pride in exceeding expectations. They excel at identifying

and evaluating complex situations, and thrive on solving issues in a creative and timely manner. Strong

business acumen compliments their ability to present recommendations based on sound analysis.

What You’ll Do

The Director of Operations will provide day-to-day leadership to the Commercial and Residential

portfolios, directing the overall property management strategy and providing guidance and mentorship

for team of property mangers, senior building operators, and technical team leads. The Director will

provide the primary interface with the executive, taking accountability for the departments’ targets and

deliverables, and contributing to the development of the strategic plan.

The role is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, and for managing tenant

communication to ensure professionalism and policy standards are maintained. You will work closely

with the construction and development divisions to ensure that new assets are properly commissioned

and integrated into the portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a track record of operational excellence, controlling operating costs,

creating efficiencies, and improving service standards. Required training and experience includes 10+

years of progressive work experience leading professional teams and a demonstrated aptitude for

dealing with complex technical situations. You have a proven ability to build strong teams committed to

a culture of customer service, and consistently evaluate your decisions in terms of impact on the

business, its strategy, and its brand. Post secondary education in a related discipline is required.
