YOUR KEY RESPONSABILITIES

As Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will lead the development and deployment of sourcing strategies that will support BRP’s products introduction roadmap while meeting the organization’s objectives. Among other areas, the Sourcing Strategies will be expected to deliver value and competitive advantage to the business as measured by customer satisfaction, project execution, margin and quality improvement, innovation and supplier network risk management.

You will also be responsible to establish collaborative relationships with key internal business stakeholders. You will oversee contract negotiations, risk assessment and mitigation, as well as strategic supplier relationships and performance management.

In addition to team development and oversight, you will be expected to provide strategic input into the future direction of the Global Sourcing function as a contributing team member. You will also focus on optimization of internal processes and interfaces to improve efficiency and productivity in support of BRP growth plan.

Finally, the Director of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for defining annual goals, including margin improvement targets, in collaboration with the Business Units and Finance, and takes full ownership and responsibility for execution. You will support the on-going management of key strategic suppliers to drive continuous improvement and identify new opportunities that drive exceptional value to BRP, and ultimately our customers.

The position reports to the Vice-president, Global Sourcing – Vehicles and is based in Valcourt. The role is global and will require some travel to all other facilities and locations in order to establish / maintain key business stakeholder relationships as well as to support specific strategic initiatives.

YOR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or Advanced Supply Chain degree highly desirable – 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience including relevant experience across multiple industries.

10+ years in manufacturing environment is desired

Demonstrated strengths in vendor negotiation and partnerships with a proven track record for managing across boundaries for large enterprise environments. – Strong analytical ability including cost modeling; comfortable driving external benchmarking;

Understands the importance of supplier relationship management; tangible experience engaging with strategic suppliers and business stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous improvement and breakthrough innovations.

Extensive knowledge of supply chain principles including procurement and logistics. – Exceptional cross-functional collaborator, both internally and externally with strategic suppliers.

Proven experience in transforming or implementing change on a large scale within a procurement unit

Able to influence internal and external stakeholders

Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable interfacing and presenting to senior leadership in concise, well-planned, and clear manner. – Strong people management skills

Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change.
