Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

The Talent & Workforce Transformation team is responsible for reimagining the future of work to execute against CIBC’s long-term priorities, while delivering a best-in-class experience throughout the talent lifecycle. As a Director, Workforce Transformation, you will be accountable for supporting the Vice-President, Workforce Transformation in managing the human capital and workforce aspects of transformation working horizontally across the enterprise. Key accountabilities include leading the build and execution of change management efforts that drive transformation within the organization, providing advisory services to business-specific initiatives, providing support through market research and the development and delivery of strategic workforce transformation initiatives.

How You’ll Succeed

Strategic Execution: In alignment with CIBC’s transformation efforts, lead and/or support in the design and execution of HR strategies that build momentum and capability within the organization, contributing to the transformation in a meaningful manner. Provide value driven advisory support to key stakeholders, influencing suggested actions, and creatively resolve problems by identifying innovative alternatives.

Change Management : Lead in the development and execution of a detailed change strategy and plan that looks to engage and support leaders at all levels through each phase of transformation. Build and implement relevant tools, processes and change tactics that will enable leaders and team members ensuring a smooth transition towards the desired end state.

Strategy – Conduct external market research to identify opportunities and translate the research into insights to create a compelling narrative and recommendation that will inform and drive how we can reimagine and transform the composition and capabilities of our workforce to match the needs of the future of work and our bank’s strategic goals. Strong communication skills with a proven track record in creating materials meant to be shared at Executive Forums is required.

Analytics – Perform reporting and data analysis to support workforce transformation opportunities and identify business efficiencies. Derive insights from data and provide recommendations in relation to workforce transformation opportunities to support executive decision making.

Relationship Management – Engage with key stakeholders across the enterprise to forge strong relationships with various teams ensuring development and co-ordination of critical elements for successful implementation of activities. You are a great communicator, with the ability to negotiate and influence to ensure alignment across dependent deliverables.

You can demonstrate experience in leading in the development and execution of strategic initiatives in a large organization, with progressive levels of responsibility and proven experience with project implementation and change management. It’s an asset if you have experience in Human Resources and/or knowledge of CIBC businesses and organization structures.
