DUTIES

The Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics at Thompson Rivers University invites applications for sessional instructors to teach the following courses during the Summer Semester 2024 (May through August):

BLAW 2910 Commercial Law (2 sections)

BLAW 3920 Employment Law (1 section)

 

All instruction is face-to-face, so the applicant(s) selected will have to be located near Kamloops or be willing to relocate.  Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, usually at night, so this is an excellent opportunity for lawyers working in the community to teach part-time and share their knowledge with students who may be considering a future in the legal profession. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should possess:

 

  • LLB or JD degree required.
  • Membership with the Law Society of B.C. or another province.
  • Potential for superior teaching is required.
  • Significant related work experience in business law is preferred.
  • Ability to use a variety of instructional technologies is preferred.

Pay Band
$2,500.48 – $2,500.48 ( Sessional Faculty – Academic (per credit) )
