The Chief of Staff & Directory of Strategy (COS) has broad
responsibilities for providing strategic professional guidance and support to
the President and CEO and Executive Team to enable them to effectively and
efficiently carry out their corporate and governing duties. As a key contact
with NAIT’s internal and external communities, this position contributes to the
success of the Polytechnic’s mission and vision, oversees major strategic and
planning documents, and builds enduring relationships with key stakeholders.

A researcher, writer, and highly skilled administrator and
manager, this position has key responsibilities in the coordination, issues
management, and communications functions of the Office and, as a consequence,
the Polytechnic climate and reputation.

    and oversee the office of the President, including managing EAs of the Office
    of the President

    and Business Planning and Reporting

  • Responsible
    for President’s Office and Board of Governors’ budget.

& Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership
    skills and superior communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building
    skills and organization-wide perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt well
    to change and manage ambiguity, higher-level critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of complex planning,
    development, implementation and project management practices
  • Technical knowledge; advanced
    knowledge of MS Office products and social networking platform
  • Highly proficient at working in and
    promoting a collaborative environment
  • Strong research skills; superior
    writing skills and the ability to produce error-free communications in plain
    language

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years of related experience
  • An equivalent combination of
    directly related education and experience may be considered

 

RemunerationSalary is negotiable depending on
experience.
