Kindergarten Teacher – Indeterminate
Mangilaluk School , Tuktoyaktuk, NT
Start Date: August 30, 2021

Candidates require the completion of a Bachelor of Education Degree and be eligible for a Northwest Territories Teaching Certificate.
The following criteria will be important considerations in the hiring process:
- Strong working background in Elementary teaching particularly in a Northern environment
- Recent teaching experience in a K-12 environment
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Knowledge of, or willingness to become familiar with, the prescribed NWT Curricula
- Prepared to implement play based curriculum as a program of studies
- Training in Literacy and Numeracy
- Differentiated Instruction
- Experience in multi-grade classrooms
Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.
Salary is dependent on verified education and experience (ranging from $82,185 to $132,684 per annum) plus an annual northern allowance based on the NWTTA Collective Agreement.
A job offer is contingent upon a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and References.
