Purpose:
Under the direction of the Coordinator, Marketing & Client Experience, the Marketing Assistant helps with compiling, editing, reviewing various online marketing collaterals as well as with developing promotional campaigns.
Education:
Preference may be given to Communication Studies and/or Marketing student.General knowledge of Athletics & Recreation York. Knowledge of the OUA and U SPORT preferred.
Experience:
Previous work experience in communications, marketing and event support is preferred.
Skills:
Ability to creatively write content to engage an intendant audience. Ability to meet deadlines and organize time effectively. Ability to use research methods to identify and verify information. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy. Responsible and reliable, strong interpersonal skill and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to provide exceptional customer service. Ability to use editing software and a variety of computer applications. Ability to use social and digital media to effectively communicate or respond to others.
