As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves around the world and in our local community, Conestoga College continues to adjust plans based on the guidance provided by our local Public Health authority. Considering these unprecedented circumstances, final hiring decisions remain contingent upon confirmed enrolment numbers and the evolving work environment. We require qualified individuals to join the School of Interdisciplinary Studies teams to teach courses to General Arts & Science Certificate and Diploma students commencing Fall 2021. Selected candidates will be requested to teach a range of topic areas, including:

Selected candidates must be able to deliver content in a variety of formats, including modular, online, hybrid, or non-semester formats. Selected candidates will need to be available for orientation prior to the start of the program.
Conestoga offers programs Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Candidates must be available to teach within these hours. Although many of our programs are being delivered remotely, all employees are expected to be able to work on campus as required.
Qualifications:

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a discipline associated with liberal arts or social sciences

Additional College credential such as TESL, Career Development Professional, Teacher Trainer of Adults, or level B Assessments (MBTI) preferred
-
Three to five years of related teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred

Ability to work on a team to deliver a dynamic interactive course

Excellent communication, interpersonal, intercultural, and collaborative skills

Strong computer skills and an understanding of D2L learning platform

Proven coaching or mentoring skills

Effective administrative skills to include constructive feedback, academic grading, and maintaining students records
